Job summary

Completely Care Recruitment Consultants Limited is hiring Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants for a college setting in Guildford. This term-time role offers £15–£16 per hour, full-time hours, and immediate starts.

You will support students with additional needs, helping them engage with education and participate in college life. Successful candidates will work alongside college staff to provide tailored support, encourage independence, and create an inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Experience as Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant or SEN Assistant or Education Support Worker.
• Experience supporting young people or adults with additional needs, learning disabilities, autism or other support needs.
• Patient, approachable, reliable and confident working with students.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to students with additional learning needs in the classroom and during college activities.
• Help students understand tasks, follow instructions and participate in lessons.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group learning support where required.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Adapt approach to meet individual learning, communication and support needs in collaboration with college staff.
• Support a positive, inclusive learning environment alongside teaching staff.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Support Worker looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference?

We have immediate opportunities available for caring, patient and enthusiastic individuals to support students with additional needs in a college setting.

Offering £15–£16 per hour, full-time hours and term-time-only working, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants consistent hours during term time while helping students build confidence, develop independence and achieve their potential.

What will you be doing?

You will work alongside college staff to provide individualised support to students with additional learning needs, helping them engage with their education and get the most out of college life.

• Supporting students with additional needs in the classroom and during college activities.
• Helping students understand tasks, follow instructions and participate in lessons.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group learning support where required.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Adapting your approach to meet individual learning, communication and support needs.
• Working closely with teaching staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
