Job summary

Sidney Stringer Primary Academy in Coventry is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to support an individual child. You will work under the guidance of the class teacher to enable access to learning and assist with managing activities, both in class and in other teaching areas.

The role requires good numeracy and literacy, prior experience with children, and an interest in working with pupils. Term-time hours with 5 training days are included.

Qualifications

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Evidence of having worked with children.
  • A positive interest in working with children.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of safeguarding.
  • General understanding of National Curriculum and foundational learning programmes.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues.

This will include working with an individul child with an Education Heath Care Plan. Enable access to learning for children and assist the teacher in the management of children and the classroom.
