Shipston High School is seeking a learning support assistant to work during term-time hours up to 30 per week, plus one additional week, starting as soon as possible. You will support pupils during lessons, individually or in small groups, and assist the teacher with planning, assessment and record-keeping.

Duties include promoting inclusion, monitoring progress, assisting with IEPs and behaviour plans, supervising trips, preparing teaching resources, and liaising with parents and staff.

Qualificações

• NVQ Level 2 or above and relevant training.
• GCSE English and Maths at grades A-C or equivalent.
• Further training on curriculum areas or specific special needs.

Responsabilidades

• Support individuals and groups during lessons, reinforcing concepts and keeping pupils on task.
• Assist the teacher with lesson planning, delivery and evaluation.
• Monitor pupils' progress against key objectives and feed back to the teacher.
• Contribute to pupil assessment through observation and records.
• Help implement IEPs and behaviour plans and report unusual patterns.
• Promote inclusion, independence, communication skills and self-esteem.
• Monitor pupil safety and welfare, including personal care tasks.
• Assist with off-site pupil supervision under the teacher's guidance.
• Prepare and care for teaching resources and differentiated materials.
• Carrying out administrative tasks such as worksheets and coursework.
• Liaise with parents, carers and specialist staff; attend review meetings where appropriate.
