Job summary

Carlisle College is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support post-16 learners, including those with SEND, in a welcoming college environment. You will work with teaching staff to enable independence, assist with lesson delivery, and provide personal care support where required, while maintaining safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

Experience working with SEND learners aged 16+; personal care experience may be required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with learners and staff.

Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support to learners including SEND aged 16+.
Assist with lesson delivery to enable access and engagement with studies.
Support learners with personal care needs respectfully and professionally.
Encourage independence and active participation in the classroom.
Collaborate with teaching staff and other support colleagues to foster an inclusive environment.
Maintain records of learner progress and contribute to assessment.
