Job summary

Barnet and Southgate College is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to help students with SEND and provide personal care in a supportive learning environment. You will work closely with teachers to foster independence and inclusive participation.

The role requires patience, a respectful approach, and an enhanced DBS (adult and child) registered on the Update Service. Prior experience in education or care settings is preferred, with a proactive, student-centered mindset.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students in lessons and with daily college activities.
• Providing personal care, including toileting and support with personal hygiene, in line with individual care plans.
• Helping students develop independence, confidence and communication skills.
• Working closely with teaching staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
