Newquay Junior Academy is seeking two caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistants (SEND) to join our dedicated team. This rewarding role supports pupils with additional needs, helping them thrive academically and personally within our inclusive academy community.

Qualifications

Experience of working with children, ideally including those with Special Educational Needs.
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
Support children with a range of additional needs, adapting learning where appropriate.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCO to deliver targeted interventions and classroom support.
Be patient, resilient and nurturing while maintaining high expectations.
Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

Deliver targeted interventions and classroom support with the SEND team.
Support pupils with additional needs to help them thrive academically and personally.
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
Collaborate with teachers and the SENDCO to adapt learning as needed.
