Learning Support Assistant - SEND Education

SEND School – Based in Lambeth – Full‑time

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is dedicated and passionate about supporting children with special educational needs. The school, based in Lambeth, caters for children and young adults from 5 to 18 years old with varied needs, such as PMLD, Severe Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs.

Your role will be to support the pupils on a 1:1 basis with their learning development and care needs while at school. Experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred but not essential. Experience working within a school‑based or care‑based environment is critical, as you must have basic knowledge and understanding of supporting children with learning care needs such as personal care.

Responsibilities
  • Experience supporting young adults or children in education
  • Experience or willingness to assist with personal care
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively
  • A valid DBS registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new DBS
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 1–6 months
