Job summary

eTeach UK Limited in Guildford is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to provide 1:1 academic and emotional support within classrooms. You will work under the SEN Lead to create a safe, inclusive environment and promote development across physical, social, emotional and intellectual areas.

You will liaise with tutors, maintain records, and participate in safeguarding procedures and ongoing professional development to meet student needs and help them reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Maths and English grade C or equivalent.
• Ability to collaborate with others and work within a team.
• Clear written and oral communications skills.
• Ability to manage own time and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 academic and emotional support in class.
• Liaise with tutors and staff regarding needs and progress of students receiving support.
• Maintain student records/reports as required.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with school staff and external agencies.
• Promote welfare of children and ensure safeguarding policies are followed.
• Attend relevant training and CPD as required.
• Identify and respond to individual student needs.
• Establish and maintain positive, firm, professional boundaries to support student potential.
