Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work across North Liverpool secondary schools. You will support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access learning and manage social and emotional needs.

The role involves assisting teachers, delivering targeted interventions, and promoting inclusive, safe learning environments while building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students in secondary schools or similar settings.
• Strong behaviour management and safeguarding awareness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Nurturing, patient approach with vulnerable learners.
• Ability to adapt quickly in busy school environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils.
• Support teachers with inclusive teaching and strategies.
• Assist with literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Support emotional regulation and behaviour management.
• Help with transitions and classroom routines.
• Maintain safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
