Job description

Learning Support Assistants– Liverpool

Multiple roles available in a Secondary School in North Liverpool. These jobs are available on a full-time and part-time basis, for emergency cover, absences (short-term and long-term) as well as gaps in staffing.

  • Start date: ASAP and September 2025 roles available
  • Competitive rate £13.00 - £14.90
  • School experience is not required to be successful in these roles

A good Ofsted School in North Liverpool require multiple Learning Support Assistants with varied start dates. The school require staff on short-term and long-term contracts which could be either on a full-time or a part-time basis. The school caters for pupils aged 11-16 with mild SEN needs. They are looking for individuals who are passionate to making a difference with children in Specialist settings. Within these roles, as a learning support assistant, you will be expected to create positive relationships with the pupils and encourage positive choices and behaviour. You will be expected to provide general support within the classes and work collaboratively with other LSAs and the class teachers.

Long-term roles available

  • Full-time positions (Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm)
  • Required to commit to the school on a long-term basis
  • Interested in securing a permanent role

Short-term roles available

  • Part-time and/or full-time positions (Varied/ ad-hoc days - 8.30am-1.00pm/ 12.00pm- 3.30pm/ 8.30am-3.30pm)
  • Would be covering emergency/ scheduled absences

The school are keen to consider a variety of staff in terms of experience, you are likely to be successful whether you are an experienced SEN support assistant, a graduate looking for experience in specialist provision or have current or prior experience support/care worker etc. Ideally if you have supported individuals with additional needs, that would be desirable however this is not essential to be successful.
