Bilton CofE Junior School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm. The role supports pupils in English and maths, assists in lesson delivery, and helps maintain a positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will have GCSEs, preferably NVQ Level 1, and experience with children who have behavioural/learning difficulties. A DBS check is required for new staff at Warwickshire schools.

Qualificações

• GCSE or equivalent education required.
• Experience working with children of infant and junior age, including those with behavioural/learning difficulties.
• Experience as a teaching assistant (TA) or helping in a school regularly.
• NVQ Level 1 or equivalent knowledge, experience and skills.

Responsabilidades

• Explain tasks and reinforce key objectives and vocabulary.
• Assist pupil to maintain attention and concentration during lessons.
• Support access to tasks by modelling effective learning strategies.
• Record observations and contribute to assessments with the teacher.
• Promote independence and positive behaviour.
• Assist in day-to-day class management and preparation of teaching aids.
