Job summary

Empowering Learning in Bolton is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a well-resourced SEN school, supporting students with PMLD. This full-time role involves 1:1 and small-group support, aiding personal care, communication needs, and sensory activities, under the guidance of teachers and therapists.

You will contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment and collaborate with families to support holistic development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/young people with PMLD/MLD or similar learning difficulties.
• Patient, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting students.
• Strong communication with students and colleagues.
• Ability to calmly manage challenging behaviour.
• Commitment to supporting students' emotional and academic development.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with PMLD.
• Assist with personal care, communication aids, sensory activities, and physiotherapy routines.
• Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver holistic support.
