Job summary

Bolton St Catherine’s Academy is seeking a Teaching and Learning Assistant Level 2 + SEN (Secondary) to support students aged 11-16 within a 3-16 all-age, inclusive environment. The role is permanent, part of a SCP 6–11 pay scale (£25,989–£28,142) with SEN allowances, at 30.25 hours per week, term-time plus one day.

The post includes generous CPD, career progression, wellbeing support, and a comprehensive benefits package, with automatic pay progression and a lunch allowance for lunchtime duties.

Qualifications

• Experience with children aged 11-16 in an education setting.
• Personal resilience and ability to model positive characteristics.

Responsibilities

• Work with and supervise individuals and groups of students under the direction of teaching staff.
• Assist in managing students' behaviour using strategies and techniques.
