Job description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a primary special educational needs school in Telford. The school caters for students aged 5-11 with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum condition (ASC), and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the academic development and well-being of our students. This position is available for an immediate start and will continue on a long-term basis for the remainder of the academic year.

Responsibilities include working closely with teachers to support the classroom environment, providing one-on-one assistance to students with diverse learning needs, and effectively managing challenging behaviours. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children or adults in a classroom, residential, or care setting.
