Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking Teaching Assistants to support students across Sandbach, from Early Years to Key Stage 5, in a variety of schools. This role offers day-to-day bookings with potential extensions and the chance to work across different settings.

Roles include supervising small groups or providing 1:1/1:2/1:3 support to pupils, and assisting the class teacher. Strong behaviour management is essential and safeguarding checks will be required.

Qualifications

• Any teaching related qualifications are desired but not essential.
• Teaching Assistant qualifications.
• SEN/SEMH Awareness.
• Previous experience working in a UK school, ideally up to at least 6 months.
• Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training is provided)

Responsibilities

• Support students either by supervising a small group of students in activities, working 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 with students, aid the Teacher in the classroom.
• Assist the teacher in the classroom and support lesson delivery.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
