Grwp Llandrillo Menai is recruiting for an enthusiastic and flexible support worker to assist learners in an Independent Living programme in Dolgellau. You will help with life and work skills such as cooking, literacy, numeracy, IT, citizenship and social development, and assist during breaks for learners with practical needs.

You will work alongside lecturers and instructors in the classroom to help learners get the most from their learning.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and flexible to support learners in life and work skills.
• Ability to assist with practical activities during breaks as required.
• Support learners with diverse needs in Pre Entry - level 1.

Description du poste

Within the Independent Living programme areas, the successful person will need to be enthusiastic and flexible to support the learners within a range of life and work skills such as e.g. cooking, everyday living skills, gardening, literacy, numeracy, IT, citizenship, personal and social development and work skills at Pre Entry - level 1. There may be a need to support learners with practical and physical difficulties during breaks times if and when required

£15.97 per hour inclusive of holiday pay

Holiday Entitlement

There will be an entitlement to pro rata paid holiday in each academic year (1st September to 31st August), which includes pro-rata entitlement of 8 Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in Wales and a pro-rata entitlement of up to 5 efficiency days (please note this can change annually). Annual leave is derived from a pro rata full time equivalent entitlement of 28 days which is included in the hourly rate paid.
