Job summary

St Mary\'s Church of England High School in the UK is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the Inclusion Team. You will support teachers so that students with SEND make good progress and act as a key worker for pupils with healthcare plans, including epilepsy, to ensure safe, effective learning.

Experience with children and young people, especially those with learning, emotional or behavioural needs, is preferred, with support toward HLTA status.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and young people, especially those with learning, emotional or behavioural needs.
• Support towards HLTA status is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers to deliver high-quality teaching
• Help students make good progress in their learning
• Act as a key worker, giving support and guidance to students with SEND needs
• Support students with healthcare plans, such as epilepsy
• Work as part of the Inclusion Team
