Job summary

Hillcroft Primary School in Caterham, Surrey, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027. The role is 31.25 hours per week during term time with a salary of £18,483.63 (actual) for GLF Associate 2 Point 1.

You will support teaching and learning, assist in delivering educational programmes, and help pupils reach their potential with patience, energy and a safeguarding-focused approach.

Qualifications

• A good general education, including GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above).
• Basic IT skills to support learning and administrative tasks.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clarify instructions and engage students effectively.
• The ability to plan, prioritise tasks, and follow teacher guidance.
• A professional and confidential approach to working with children.
• Strong time management and organisation skills to maintain records and assist in classroom setup.
• A trustworthy, approachable, and passionate attitude towards making a positive impact on students’ lives.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, in line with GLF Schools' policies.
