St Richard's in Bexhill-on-Sea is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support pupils across the school. You will help with learning tasks, provide individual attention, and assist with safeguarding and wellbeing.

The role requires good English and maths basics, strong communication, and a collaborative approach within a caring school community. The school offers a supportive induction, professional development, and a positive, calm environment where staff, pupils, parents, and governors

Competenze

• Good standard of education in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above).
• Experience of supporting children in a classroom environment, including those with special educational needs.
• Experience of using technology to support pupils in the classroom.
• Knowledge of health, safety and security requirements in learning environments.
• Ability to use language and other communication skills that pupils can understand.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with pupils and empathise with their needs.
• Active listening skills.
• Ability to implement agreed behaviour management strategies.
• Ability to provide levels of individual attention and help with tasks as appropriate.
• Constructive feedback to pupils to reinforce self-esteem.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
• Ability to work within school policies (e.g., safeguarding).
• Willingness to provide practical assistance, including physical support, and undertake relevant training.
