Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support teaching staff across academic and vocational sessions in a West Midlands centre. The role is permanent, term-time only, and full-time, with a pro-rata salary reflecting £22,981 per annum (based on £24,540 FTE).

You will work both in the classroom and around the centre to help learners engage with their studies, build confidence and work toward independence, with guidance and development pathways for those new to learning

About the Role

You'll join a training provider as a Learning Support Assistant, assisting teaching staff across a broad range of academic and vocational subjects. You'll play a vital part in creating an inclusive, positive learning environment, working both in the classroom and around the centre to help learners engage fully with their studies.

This role is about more than classroom assistance. You'll help learners overcome barriers, build confidence and work towards their goals, preparing them for life beyond education. Whether you already have experience in learning support or are looking to start a career in this field, you'll be given the guidance and backing you need to succeed.

Your responsibilities will include:
