Job summary

New Fosseway School in the United Kingdom is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. The role supports children and young people with complex educational, medical, and behavioural needs, helping them thrive academically and personally.

Term-time hours with 32.5 hours per week, plus 5 INSET days, are available. We value nurturing, energetic, and adaptable staff who build positive relationships and implement behaviour support strategies to help pupils

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
• Knowledge of strategies to support behaviour, communication, S+L development.
• Understanding safeguarding responsibilities and current SEN practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to support EHCP outcomes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to monitor and report pupil progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised support that enables pupils to access learning.
• Work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored support for EHCP outcomes.
• Monitor and report pupil progress to inform next steps.
