Job summary
TeacherActive are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in a wonderful partner school in Newcastle Emlyn. This is a term-time role with weekly pay and flexible scheduling to fit around your commitments.
The successful candidates will support pupils with a range of learning needs, build positive relationships with students and staff, and engage in CPD opportunities. DBS check on Update Service is preferred but not always essential, with training provided as part of safeguarding
Qualifications
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
- Previous experience with children/young people essential
- Experience supporting pupils with ALN desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, proactive and flexible attitude
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with a range of learning needs in various classroom environments
- Assist the teacher with planning and delivering learning activities
- Monitor pupil progress and behaviour and provide feedback
- Contribute to a supportive and inclusive classroom culture
