Job summary

Vision for Education supports SEMH & SEN schools in North Somerset and Somerset, recruiting Learning Support Assistants flexible to cover all year groups. Typical day 08:15am to 15:30pm, term-time hours with DBS checks and safeguarding procedures. Driving is preferred but not essential; reliable commuting to school sites is important.

Opportunities exist for permanent roles via temp-to-perm if the right fit is found, with a welcoming, inclusive environment and collaborative team approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in education or care sector is highly desired, but not essential.
• Driver preferred but not essential; reliable commute to work required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students to engage in a range of enrichment activities.
• Developing learning resources that are individualised to meet students communication needs.
• Working closely with teacher to follow session plans and schemes of work and reporting on the progress of students to inform future planning.
• Utilising strategies from students' Positive Behaviour Support Plan to engage effectively in learning, whether on-site or in the community.
