Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd are actively recruiting a Trainee Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with SEND in North Somerset schools, with full-time or part-time options and a starting September 2026. The role offers on-site work, a structured NTAP training programme, safeguarding training, and opportunities to develop classroom support skills across mainstream and SEN settings.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be committed to safeguarding and inclusive education.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH is beneficial.
• Willingness to undertake NTAP training and other safeguarding courses.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Support students with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management.
• Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils in literacy and numeracy.
