Job summary

Beech Hall School in Cheshire is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the Enhanced Learning Team. You will support students with SEND, build confidence, and provide personalized in-class and small-group support, including one-to-one sessions.

Working with the SENDCo, teachers, and parents, you will help deliver targeted interventions, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records while promoting an inclusive, safe learning environment for every pupil.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children or young people.
• A strong understanding of how positive relationships help students succeed.
• Good ICT skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND in classroom and targeted interventions.
• Act as key worker for identified students, tracking progress.
• Deliver small group and one-to-one programs per SENDCo guidance.
• Maintain student profiles, learning resources, and support plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to secure best outcomes.
• Support social, emotional, and pastoral development; maintain records.
