Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in England is looking for a dedicated General Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team. You will support teachers, help deliver lessons, and assist pupils with learning and development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in education, childcare or youth work.
• Positive, patient, and flexible approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
• Assist in the preparation of learning resources and classroom displays.
• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support pupils with varying learning abilities and additional needs where required.
• Supervise pupils during break times, school activities, and educational visits.
• Promote the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils.
