Job summary

Milk Education, in partnership with a welcoming Barnet primary school, is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive team. You will work with class teachers and the SEND team to provide tailored support for pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

The ideal candidate will have experience in similar roles, a patient and adaptable approach, and a passion for helping children develop confidence and independence within a nurturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner or Childcare Worker
  • Experience working with children in a school, nursery, care or community setting
  • Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and families
  • Passion for supporting children to overcome barr

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils across the primary age range within the classroom
  • Working as a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 and small-group support
  • Assisting children with additional learning needs, including SEND, ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs
  • Helping pupils access lessons through adapted resources and targeted support
  • Supporting literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities
  • Encouraging confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
  • Assisting teachers with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
  • Supporting children's social and emotional development throughout the school day

Job description

Milk Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barnet to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about helping children develop confidence, independence and a love for learning.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to provide tailored support for pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, supporting their individual needs and helping them make progress both academically and socially.

The Role:
  • Supporting pupils across the primary age range within the classroom
