Job summary

Sun Academy is inviting applications for a Learning Support Assistant. This fixed-term role runs until July 2027 and is term-time only, 31.5 hours per week across a primary academy.

The successful candidate will support learners, work with small groups, and help students with their individual learning needs. The role requires experience with young people, knowledge of child development, and strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

About this Role

Learning Support Assistant

  • Contract Type: Fixed Term until July2027
  • Hours: 31.5 hours per week, 39weeks per year (term time only)
  • Scale: NJC 4-6
  • Actual Salary: £18,411 - £19,030 (FTESalary: £25,184 - £25,988)
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

We are looking for a positive and committed individual whohas excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, has a pro-activeapproach and the ability to work independently, as well as the ability torelate well to visitors, staff, and students. This is a fantastic opportunityto develop your skills within a friendly team.

The successful candidate will have experience of workingwith young people and children, understand child development and the ways inwhich children learn, and experience in assisting children on an individualbasis, in small groups and whole class work.
