Job summary

Sutton High School, part of the GDST, is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (Level 3 or above) to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with an EHCP and assist in the Neurodiversity Hub. You will work within a collaborative senior school team to foster social and academic development, with opportunities for professional development.

The role offers term-time working with a salary from £31,200 FTE, pro-rata to part-time hours, and a range of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised TA qualification (e.g. NVQ, NNEB, City & Guilds, BTEC) or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting pupils with EHCP needs is preferred.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a named pupil with EHCP for social communication needs.
• Support students in the Neurodiversity Hub, facilitating independent work and study skills.
• Encourage learning and readiness for school through reassurance and targeted guidance.
• Collaborate with the Learning Support team to monitor progress and adapt strategies.
