Job summary

TeacherActive are supporting a mainstream secondary school in Merthyr Tydfil to recruit a Learning Support Assistant. The role involves providing 1:1 support to pupils across KS3 and KS4, assisting with lesson activities and helping to keep pupils engaged in the classroom.

The position is long-term with an immediate start, paid on a PAYE basis. You will work closely with teaching staff, contribute to positive behaviour management and benefit from CPD courses and market-leading rates of pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in a mainstream secondary school
• Experience providing 1:1 support to KS3/KS4 pupils
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils within the classroom and assist with lesson activities
• Manage behaviour and work closely with teaching staff to keep pupils engaged throughout the day
