Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting Learning Support Assistants in Wirral to help FE students with their learning, development and progression in a supportive college environment.

Roles include one-to-one and classroom support, assisting learners with additional learning needs, and close collaboration with teaching staff to ensure active learning and engagement. Immediate start with both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Learning Support Assistant - Wirral

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a leading Further Education college to recruit experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) in Wirral. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with their learning, development, and progression within a supportive Further Education environment.

Location: Wirral

Salary: £10 - £14 per hour

Contract: Temporary / Full-time & Part-time

Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and classroom-based learning support to FE students.
• Support students with their academic, personal and social development.
• Assist learners with additional learning needs and disabilities where required.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support effective learning and student engagement.
• Help students access learning materials and participate fully in lessons.
• Encourage learners to develop confidence, independence and essential skills.
• Monitor and report on student progress and any support needs.
• Maintain appropriate records and follow college procedures.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, inclusion, health and safety and positive behaviour.
• Adapt support approaches to meet individual learner needs.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or similar role.
• Experience supporting young people or adults within an educational or care setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting learners to achieve their potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider support team.
• Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs or SEND would be desirable.
