Job summary

Randstad Education in Warrington is seeking energetic Learning Support Assistants to help secondary students achieve their goals from day one. You will work with teachers to deliver focused support for pupils, including those with SEN such as Autism, ADHD and SEMH, empowering them to thrive in the classroom.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in education, youth work, social care, or SEN support.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to connect with secondary-age students.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in keeping secondary classrooms focused, energetic, and highly productive.
  • Deliver dedicated 1-on-1 support for students with SEN to help them navigate the school day.
  • Lead targeted small-group sessions in key subjects to boost confidence and bridge learning gaps.
  • Break down complex tasks so students of all learning abilities can succeed.
  • Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and personal responsibility with strong encouragement.
  • Assist with classroom setup, learning resources, and monitoring student engagement.
