Full-Time Learning Support Assistant - Year 3 | Putney SW15 | Special Needs Support

A supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school in Putney is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to work with a Year 3 pupil with ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs. This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for someone passionate about SEN support and making a real impact in a child's school experience.

Learning Support Assistant Role Overview:

• Position: Learning Support Assistant (SEN 1:1)

• Year Group: Year 3

• Start Date: ASAP

• Location: Putney, SW15

• Contract Type: Full Time, Long Term

• Setting: Mainstream Primary School

Key Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for a child with ASD and ADHD, managing challenging behaviour with consistency and care

• Implement and follow individual education and behaviour plans

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to track progress and adjust strategies

• Encourage independence and help the pupil engage with class activities

• Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly ASD and ADHD

• Confident managing challenging behaviour and using de-escalation strategies

• Patient, reliable, and able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff

• Passionate about inclusive education and helping children thrive academically and socially

Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)
