Job summary

Hillcroft Primary School & Nursery is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant team on a permanent basis. You will help deliver educational programmes and support students’ learning journeys, contributing to a positive classroom environment.

With GCSE English and Maths and good IT skills, you will communicate clearly, plan tasks with teachers, and maintain records while safeguarding and promoting pupils' welfare in line with GLF policies.

Qualifications

  • A good general education, including GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
  • Basic IT skills to support learning and administrative tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clarify instructions and engage students effectively.
  • The ability to plan, prioritise tasks, and follow teacher guidance.
  • A professional and confidential approach to working with children.
  • Strong time management and organisation skills to maintain records and assist in classroom setup.
  • A trustworthy, approachable, and passionate attitude towards making a positive impact on students’ lives.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, in line with GLF Schools' policies.

The Details

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: GLF Associate 2 Point 1 - £23,914

Actual Salary: £17,858.57

Hours: 31.25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
