Job summary

Academics is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to support students in Rotherham across primary and secondary settings on a temporary basis. You will help with classroom activities, maintain positive behaviour and support inclusion, under the guidance of experienced teachers.

Salary is competitive and paid PAYE with holiday pay; training opportunities and long-term prospects through our partner schools are available.

Qualifications

• Recent classroom experience in a school setting.
• Strong communication skills and effective behaviour management techniques.
• NVQ or CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning (desirable).
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Positive, supportive attitude and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Support learners in classrooms and assist with practical learning activities.
• Assist with routines, transitions and safeguarding in line with school policy.
