Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Rochester | September 2025 Start

Some students just need that extra bit of support—and that’s where you come in! This welcoming and inclusive school in Rochester is looking for dedicated LSAs to provide 1:1 support for KS3 students with ASD or SEMH needs. Fun fact: The school has a weekly "Feel-Good Friday", where students and staff celebrate achievements, big or small—whether it’s mastering a new skill or simply having a great day!

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (Until at least March 2025)

Salary: £90-100 per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for KS3 students with ASD or SEMH needs.
• Foster a positive and structured learning environment tailored to individual needs.
• Assist with sensory learning, emotional regulation, and engagement strategies.
• Work closely with teachers and specialists to implement personalized learning plans.
• Encourage confidence, independence, and social interaction.
• Adapt support strategies to help students overcome challenges and thrive.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD or SEMH needs.
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, specialists, and families.
• Ability to create a safe and engaging learning space.
• A passion for helping students succeed and feel valued.
