Inspire Young Minds as a Learning Support Assistant!
Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our excellent Schools in Newcastle. If you’re passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young children, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
· Protect and promote the health and well-being of children
· Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed
· Implement and deliver the EYFS curriculum in accordance with the childrens social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs.
· Support childrens learning and development through play
· Be a key person to a small group of children and build positive relationships with their families
· Monitor childrens progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets
· Plan and create activities which keep children engaged throughout the day
· Help prepare children for the transition into school life
Key Requirements:
· Experience of working in a pre-school setting or other similar experience.
· Diploma in Level 3 Early Years
· A good, sound knowledge and understanding of EYFS.
· Sound understanding of child development and of childrens needs and current legislation relevant to the Early Years.
· Ability and experience of implementing an Early Years curriculum, taking into account the SEND Code of Practice, child protection procedures, religious and cultural diversity and equal opportunities considerations.
· Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of ways, verbally and in writing
· Caring attitude and a friendly, flexible approach.
