Learning Support Assistant – West Manchester | Elevate Supply

Elevate Supply is delighted to be working in partnership with a nurturing and forward-thinking Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in West Manchester to recruit a compassionate and committed Learning Support Assistant. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with a caring nature and a passion for supporting children with additional needs to make a genuine impact in a rewarding educational setting.

This full-time role is available for an immediate start and will continue through the academic year, with strong potential for a long-term position or progression into a specialist education pathway.

???? Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils across a range of needs—including Autism, ADHD, and Speech & Language difficulties—providing 1:1 or small group support in and out of the classroom. You'll be joining a compassionate and expert team dedicated to creating an inclusive, structured, and empowering learning environment.

Your Responsibilities:

Support students with learning activities, emotional regulation, and communication

Implement strategies recommended by therapists and teaching staff

Adapt resources and approaches to meet individual needs

Foster a calm, positive, and respectful environment at all times

Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure holistic care

Promote independence, confidence, and engagement among learners

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (essential)

A background in education, care, youth work, or psychology (desirable)

Calm, empathetic, and patient with strong behaviour management skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

A positive attitude and commitment to inclusive education

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
