Job summary

Newstaff Employment Services is seeking experienced Learning Support Workers to support pupils across PRUs and Alternative Education settings, providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs, EHCPs and behavioral challenges.

This flexible supply role offers long-term placements and permanent opportunities, with dedicated support from your education consultant and competitive pay rates.

Qualifications

• Experience in PRUs, SEN, or alternative provision.
• Calm, resilient approach with ability to build positive relationships.
• Experience supporting young people with emotional needs and challenging behaviour.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for students across PRUs and SEN departments.
• Deliver small group support to learners with SEMH needs.
• Support pupils to overcome barriers to learning.
• Collaborate with education consultants and school staff.

• Experience in PRUs, SEN, alternative provision, youth work or similar settings
• A calm, resilient approach and the ability to build positive relationships
• Confidence supporting young people with emotional needs and challenging behaviour
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Passionate, caring and enthusiastic in the work
