Learning Support Assistant - Mainstream Secondary School - Bexley
Start: Immediate Full-Time Long-Term (Until End of Academic Year)

A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Bexley is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term role lasting through to the end of the current academic year, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.

Pay Range: Dependent on experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND, ensuring they can access the curriculum and reach their full potential

• Assist teaching staff in delivering inclusive education

• Implement strategies to support learning, emotional well-being, and behaviour

• Support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom environment

• Contribute to the development of individual learning plans and behavioural strategies

• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people is essential

• Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is highly desired

• Must hold a valid DBS on the Update Service

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

• A proactive, patient, and resilient approach to support work

• A genuine interest in education and helping students achieve their best
