Job summary

Leigh North Street Primary School in Leigh-on-Sea is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for 31.25 hours per week. The role is full-time, term-time only, with a starting date as soon as possible and a salary at Level 4, SCP 6-7 (£13.47–£13.69 per hour).

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and innovative Learning Support Assistant to join our hardworking team. We are looking for someone who is motivated, committed, and passionate about helping every child reach their full potential.


The ideal candidate will:



  • Hold a / or be wiling to work towards a Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification

  • Build positive, supportive relationships with children and colleagues

  • Make learning fun, engaging, and purposeful

  • Encourage children to develop independence and self-help skills

  • Be organised, efficient, and proactive

  • Be able to follow guidance while also using initiative

  • Demonstrate a good standard of English and Mathematics (preferably GCSE Grade C/4 or above)

  • Be committed to improving pupil outcomes
