Job Title: Learning Mentor Location: HD1 Contract Type: Agency Salary: Day rate from £89 Are you passionate about supporting young people in education? Do you have the drive to help learners overcome barriers to achievement and reach their full potential? Axcis Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic learning mentor to work in partnership with a leading further education college. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in students’ academic journeys and personal development. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring support to students aged 16+ • Help learners build confidence, improve motivation, and develop effective study habits • Support students with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges that may affect their learning • Collaborate with teaching staff and support services to track progress and implement support strategies • Promote student well-being, attendance, and engagement Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting (college, school, youth work, etc.) • A calm, empathetic, and encouraging approach • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff • Relevant qualifications or training in mentoring, youth work, education, or related areas (desirable) Whether you're an experienced mentor or looking to take the next step in your education support career, we want to hear from you!
