Job Title: Learning SupportAssistant
Location: The GreaterHorseshoe School, Heathfield TQ12 6RH
Salary: From £20,906.25 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week ;Monday8:30am - 3:45pm, Tuesday 8:30am - 5pm, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday8:30am - 3:45pm
Contract: Permanent,Term Time only
Start Date: September 2025

Purpose of the Role
As aLearning Support Assistant, you will support our teachers to take acreative approach to teaching pupils according to their educationalneeds, maximising pupil’s achievement, and ability to develop.
This is a great opportunity for a Learning Support Assistantwho is looking to start or continue their career in Education and ismotivated to inspire learning in pupils with varied and complex needs.Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, and youwill be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguardingculture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in asmany decisions as possible.

We arelooking for a Learning Support Assistant, who can work with individualand small groups of pupils, preparing classrooms and materials, andbuilding positive relationships with pupils to promote interaction andlearning. Our Learning Support Assistants offer essential support toour teachers and have the opportunity to assist in the planning anddelivery of lessons in a creative and positive setting.
Whilstprevious experience of working in an SEN/ASC environment would bedesirable, excellent support skills and the right motivation, personalqualities and levels of resilience are just as important. These rolesare ideal for people working in customer facing industries includingretail, hospitality, and leisure, looking for a new role that makes areal difference to pupil’s lives and futures.
