Teaching Personnel is partnering with a coeducational secondary school in Havant seeking Learning Support Assistants for a September 2026 start. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm role, term-time only plus one week (39 weeks plus 1 week in the summer). Hours are 8:00–16:00, Monday to Thursday, and 8:00–15:30 on Friday.
The role focuses on SEN support in class, groups, and 1:1 settings, including pastoral duties. Candidates with experience in EAL or ELSA would be advantageous.
Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a coeducational secondary school located in Havant, graded 'GOOD' by Ofsted. The school are seeking learning support assistants to join the department from September 2026 on a full-time, temp to perm basis.
Beneficial: Candidates with training in, or experience in EAL (English as a Foreign Language) and/or ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistants) would be advantageous to this post.
SEN key workers: To support the teaching and welfare of children with special educational needs to progress towards the class/individual targets set. These will include supporting children with things such as sensory impairment, speech and language impairments, attention, and concentration difficulties, learning difficulties and those who are emotionally vulnerable. This support will come in a variety of forms such as in class, group interventions, one to one intervention, mentoring, exam access arrangements and encompass both academic and pastoral needs.
Contract and schedule: This position is term time only plus one week. 39 school weeks plus 1 additional week to be worked in the summer holidays. Full time working hours are 8am - 4pm Monday - Thursday and 8am - 3.30pm Friday.
