Supply Staff LTD is hiring a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a secondary school in East London. The role involves assisting teachers, supporting students with difficulties, and delivering targeted guidance.

The position is full-time, 5 days a week, with long-term or supply options and a competitive daily pay rate. DBS update service is required or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience or training as Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant.
• Deep knowledge of secondary curriculum subjects and classroom management.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Full compliance with UK safeguarding regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted academic and routine guidance to students, 1-on-1 or in small groups.
• Adapt learning materials to student targets.
• Guide student behaviour with patience, clear boundaries, and positive reinforcement.
• Track, monitor, and report student progress to teachers and specialists.
