We are looking for a learning support assistant to work in a primary school setting in Islington, supporting pupils with additional needs, including ASD, throughout the academic year (term time only). The role is paid £90‑105 per day, dependent on experience.

About the Role

In this role, you will support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. A key part of the position is working closely with children with ASD and other special educational needs, helping them to access learning and feel confident in school.

You will help pupils stay focused, understand their work, and manage their emotions throughout the day. This may include adapting activities, providing reassurance, and using clear routines and structure. You will work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to ensure pupils receive the right support to help them make progress both academically and socially.
