Job description

Westminster City School is a successful 11-18 Christian non-denominational comprehensive academy for boys with a mixed sixth form. Ours is a vibrant learning community situated in the heart of central London with all the opportunities and advantages of an inner-city school.

Join our inclusion team

Help students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) learn, build confidence and become independent. Westminster City School is an ambitious 11-18 boys' comprehensive academy with a mixed sixth form and a non-denominational Christian ethos, in central London.

Ofsted's May 2026 inspection recognised strong standards in achievement, attendance and behaviour, leadership and governance, and post-16 provision. Inclusion met the expected standard; safeguarding standards were met. We are building on improvements in SEND identification and support, strengthening adaptations to learning and access to wider opportunities.

The role

Under the direction of the Assistant SENDCo, SENDCo and teachers, you will support learning in lessons and agreed interventions, implement pupil profiles and reasonable adjustments, and contribute to assess, plan, do, review. You will listen to students, record progress and support enrichment, trips and transitions.

Experience of working with young people, strong communication skills, and good literacy, numeracy and digital skills.

High expectations, a calm and flexible approach, and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Willingness to learn about a range of SEND and implement agreed support, including for students with EHC plans.

Commitment to our values of wisdom, integrity, compassion and excellence.

What we offer
  • We offer a full induction programme, professional development and support from the Assistant SENDCo, SENDCo and colleagues.
