Job summary

Westminster City School seeks a dedicated SEND support role to assist learning in lessons, implement pupil profiles and reasonable adjustments, and contribute to assess, plan, do, review processes. You will listen to students, record progress and support enrichment, trips and transitions.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, inclusive education and the ability to work closely with the Assistant SENDCo, SENDCo and teachers in a vibrant inner-London environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people, strong communication skills, and good literacy, numeracy and digital skills.
• High expectations, a calm and flexible approach, and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
• Willingness to learn about a range of SEND and implement agreed support, including for students with EHC plans.
• Commitment to our values of wisdom, integrity, compassion and excellence.
• Experience of supporting autistic students and other students with SEND in secondary setting is desirable.
• Full criteria as set out on the attached JD / person specification.
