Job summary

Pertemps Education Network is seeking an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant for a brand-new ARP provision in Streatham, Lambeth. The role starts September 2026 and involves supporting pupils with autism and complex needs, 1:1 and small group support, and close collaboration with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists.

You will help create a safe, engaging learning environment, assist with personal care when needed, and support communication and independent skills in line with EHCP targets.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with Autism and complex needs.

  • Experience in EYFS or primary settings.

EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant (ARP Provision)

Location: Streatham, Lambeth

Pay Rate: £108.35 per day

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

Start Date: September 2026

EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant Required for New ARP Provision A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stretham, Lambeth is seeking an experienced EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. The school is launching a brand-new Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) and is looking for dedicated professionals to support a number of new pupils with Special Educational Needs as they transition into the provision.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting new development within the school and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with complex learning needs.

The Role As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant, you will
  • Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex needs within the ARP.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual EHCP targets.
  • Assist with personal care where required, maintaining the dignity and wellbeing of pupils at all times.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, therapists, and wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Support pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence skills.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Previous experience supporting children with Autism and complex needs.
  • Experience providing personal care support within an educational or care setting.
  • A strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive practice.
  • Experience working within EYFS or primary school settings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, resilient, and child-centred approach.
