Job summary

Blossom House School seeks a Learning Support Assistant to support children with social and communication needs. You will provide 1-1 support and assist with class activities in a dynamic, nurturing environment.

The role involves maintaining learning environments, supporting administration, and working with a dedicated therapy team to maximise each child’s potential. Term-time, permanent contract with competitive pay.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs (SEN), particularly children on the Autism Spectrum.
  • Good English (clear written and spoken) and numeracy.
  • Knowledge and experience of behaviour management.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ad-hoc or dedicated 1-1 support to specific children and whole-class support in lessons.

Job description

Your role may involve providing ad-hoc or dedicated 1-1 support to specific children and providing whole-class support in lessons. You'll also help maintain the learning environments, assist with administration and provide ad-hoc management or support with challenging behaviour.

  • The ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment is essential.£24,100-£25,800term-time (£28,117-£30,100 FTE)
  • Permanent Blossom House School, The role is a Permanent, Term-Time only role Monday to Friday (08:30am - 17:00pm) (approx. 36 teaching weeks per annum) No working required during school holidays Salary from: £28,117 - £30,100 pro rata, depending on experience (£24,100 - £25,800 salary for term-time, 36 weeks pa),
